There are many kinds of LED lighting classification. Different manufacturers have different classification methods, but they are all similar. There are also some products whose names are different from those on the market within the company, but they will not be separated from the market.

(1) according to the light source classification, it can be divided into incandescent lamp, fluorescent lamp and energy-saving lamp, HID lamp, LED lamp, non-polar lamp and other lamps.

(2) according to the functions of lamps and lanterns, they are divided into lighting fixtures, street lamps, courtyard lamps, lawn lamps, underwater lamps, neon lamps and other lamps.

(3) according to the recommendation of the international lighting commission (CIE), lamps and lanterns (indoor) are divided into direct type, semi-direct type, full diffuse reflection type (including direct and indirect type with little horizontal light), semi-indirect type and indirect type according to the proportion of upper and lower space distribution.

Direct. Light is concentrated in the lower hemisphere, can be made into narrow, medium, wide all kinds of light distribution, suitable for a variety of places. Lamp light use rate is the highest, easy to obtain high illumination in local areas, maintenance cost is less. It is used for street lamp, projection lamp and indoor directional and local lighting in outdoor lighting.

Semi-direct. Downward light predominates and a small amount of light ascends. Lamps and lanterns light utilization rate medium, medium maintenance costs, mainly indoor.

(3) all diffused. The light going up and down is roughly the same. Lamps and lanterns light utilization rate medium, medium maintenance costs, mainly used in the indoor.

(4) semi-indirect. Downward light only a small part, lamps and lanterns light utilization rate is low, the light is soft, maintenance is more trouble, less application. Outdoor lighting is used in reflective yard lights.

(5) indirect. Most or all of the light goes up. Lamps and lanterns light utilization rate is low, the light is soft, the maintenance is more troublesome, the application is less. Outdoor lighting is used in reflective yard lights.
